In Loving Memory

I haven't been posting for a while since Papa Obscure died. He didn't know about this site, my alter ego. He didn't know about the book I've written (whether or not it's any good). What he did know was how much he meant to me. He knew that I'm doing just fine and I hope he knew that he (and Mama Obscure) was the reason why.

I could go on and tell you about how hard he worked over the years, that he worked two full time jobs for 30 years and when he retired from one he continue working harder than anyone I've ever known in the other job. But it's still hard to think about. My thoughts don't seem clear, don't have focus.

He taught me the value of money, of hard work, of integrity, honesty, and that if you love what you do, it's not really work. He knew I was going back to school, probably changing careers and he was proud of that as well.

I will miss him but I'm fortunate that all the memories are happy ones. I'm sure that over the next few weeks and months you'll hear more about Papa Obscure.
